HEG Community Larder

Surplus food shared freely to cut waste and support neighbours.

Where
Snells Hall, East Hendred
When
Mondays, 15:30–17:30

The HEG Community Larder collects surplus food from local shops, growers and households and makes it available, free of charge, to anyone in the Hendreds. It's a simple idea with a big impact: good food that would otherwise go to waste ends up on someone's table instead.

Every Monday afternoon, volunteers lay out that week's donations at Snells Hall — fresh produce, store-cupboard items, bread and more, depending on what's come in. Visitors are welcome to take what they need, and donations of food, time or transport are always gratefully received.

The larder works alongside the Community Café to make sure food surplus across the Hendreds is put to good use rather than thrown away, and that no one in our community goes without.

Help us collect donations, set up the larder, or pack food parcels.
