Volunteer With Us
Every HEG project runs on volunteers — from an hour a month to a regular weekly slot.
HEG doesn't have paid staff — everything from the Monday café to the wildlife sessions happens because someone gives up their time. Whatever you can offer, however often, it makes a real difference to your neighbours and to the place we live. There's no minimum commitment and no experience required: just tell us what interests you and we'll find a way for you to get involved.
Roles
Café Helper
Cook, serve or wash up at the Community Café on Monday mornings.
Larder Volunteer
Collect donations, set up the larder, or help pack food for visitors.
Growing Session Helper
Dig, sow, water or harvest at HEG Grows on Saturdays.
Wildlife & Grounds
Help plant, build and maintain habitats for local wildlife.
